![]() ![]() ![]() I guess I'm wondering for next year when the renewals come up, should I try to push with Spiceworks. However now I'm looking at a $4k per year bill for two different products that possibly could have been accomplished for free with one solution. I mainly stayed away from it here because everyone said they've had bad experiences with it. I've known about Spiceworks for a while, but never really tried it out. Now we're looking at bringing in a network inventory system, and I had used Lansweeper at a previous company so I setup a demo and it was approved. So currently our department spends about $3k per year for all of our techs. It works for what we need, but we spend $192 per agent per year for licensing. However, once all their items were imported, the scanning of items, and navigation of the system slowed to a crawl, and was basically unusable for them.īased on that myself and a coworker researched and suggested Freshdesk for a ticketing system. Mainly because another site in the company had used it for network inventory tracking. I was charged with bringing in a new help desk ticking system, and the department head wanted to stay away from Spiceworks. I started at a larger company (1,500+ users) in the it department as a help desk/jr sysadmin/jr netadmin person a few months ago. ![]()
